Story
Ashley's
Brushy Creek Behavior Consulting was started due to a need for high quality clinical oversight of Applied Behavior Analysis in Hutto, Texas. A homegrown Texan herself, Ashley Lara, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA opted to create a space for parents, clients, and clinicians to speak freely and honestly with each other surrounding therapies. We are strictly a BCBA-led service provide meaning there are no behavior technicians in order to provide a more effective and intensive services.
Our services include consulting on an as-needed basis for families, ongoing family support and collaboration, social skills groups, direct services with children and teens implementing a plan, and attendance at ARD meetings. If your child was recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, we are more than happy to chat with you about next steps and the variety of services available, even connecting with other speech therapists, counselors, and occupational therapists in the area. We focus on mutual values in connecting with our clients and look forward to talking with you soon!

Here are all the ways to work with me
Looking for a little more support problem solving behavioral concerns in home or at school? I will meet with you in home or via Zoom to provide support options which are evidence based to increase success across settings. This also can be used for support with specific areas such as toilet training, expanding language, increasing play skills, and more.
We currently have weekly social skills groups available for ages 6-9 years old and a teen hang out group that meets locally to form friendships and connections.
If you have been on a waitlist for months and are looking to get your child assessed with a standardized developmental assessment to determine which direction to go, this is an option to get you moving. Often these assessments can be taken to other service providers (case by case basis.)
Trainings for schools businesses looking to be more inclusive to those who are neurodiverse can set up a consultation call or an ongoing training for their staff. We also offer topics on flagging children for assessment, brief overviews on services, local resources for families, and classroom management.
We do not offer 3-tier service model delivery. Work directly with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Licensed Behavior Analyst on an ongoing basis. This is for families seeking more intensive intervention for their children’s needs. Services can be provided in home, private school locations pending approval, and the community. Recommendations discussed with families on the onset of services.
